Renowned Dentists Meet at UNILAG for Improved Health Services

Foremost Dental Surgeon, Dr. Bolaji Ogundare is billed to lead other experts and discussants to the Annual Faculty Conference and maiden edition of the Alumni Guest Lecture of the Faculty of Dental Sciences from July 4 to 6 at the Old Great Hall, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Lagos. 

The lecture series aim to rally eminent researchers, healthcare companies and other medical stakeholders, and provoke discussions on strategic role of health education, particularly the pivotal roles of funding, innovation and research as the panacea to plugging gaps in the present day health services delivery,” he said.

Dr. Ogundare, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Newcross Petroleum and alumnus of the Unilag, will present the keynote address at the three-day programme with the theme ‘Capacity Building in Clinical Dentistry/Strengthening Educational Resources and Dental Practice in Nigeria’.

The keynote address is among other notable activities and events, including: exhibitions, scientific sessions, community outreach and awards ceremonies lined up by the organisers for the forthcoming conference which will hold between July 4 and 6, 2017 at the Old Great Hall, College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

Confirming his participation at the conference, Dr Ogundare said: “As a proud alumnus of the college, I am delighted to take part at the conference and present the keynote address to an esteemed audience comprising scholars, alumni, business leaders, medical experts and other dignitaries under the distinguished chairmanship of Professor Denloye, Deputy Provost, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan.”  

The Newcross Petroleum boss added that the lecture series will help in attracting the attention and resources critically needed to boost medical education in Nigeria.
