The
management of Cway Food and Beverages Nigeria Company Limited, has said
the company was committed to increasing Nigerians' healthy lifestyle
through its products as it celebrates its 10th year anniversary of one
of its products.
The
company's Deputy Director, Mr. Tony Ojumoola, said this at a briefing
to announce the 10th year celebration of one of its products -
Nutri-milk, which will hold att he Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on July 14th.
“Cway
is known for quality products that have a great trend of loyal
consumers across Nigeria. Nutri-milk has stood the test of time and
developed good relationship between the company and its business
partners, and has attracted profit and growth to the entire company,” he
added.
He noted that Nutri-milk is a blend of
nutritional milk and fresh fruit content. And it gained acceptance from
the public immediately it was launched.
He
described the product as a rewarding brand; hence deserves the
forthcoming anniversary. “We are glad to announce that on July 14 this
year, we shall celebrate the product at Oriental Hotel, Lagos. We are
doing this because we want to tell our story ourselves – how the brand
has increased the nutritional lifestyle of Nigerians.
He,
however, assured Nigerians that the company would not compromise on its
standard irrespective of the daunting economic challenges it faces in
the line of production.
According to the
Deputy, the drink is specifically formulated and patterned to meet the
nutritional needs of both the young and the adult consumers.
Meanwhile,
he lauded both the Ogun and the Lagos States governments for the
favourable policies it enjoyed from them right from its inception. "I
must confess that we enjoyed some robust relationships. We found favour
in the sight of Lagos government to have allowed us to have our first
plant in the state and it has been a healthy environment till now. The
same thing goes to Ogun. And the benefits continue from both states.”
Another
factor that amplified the company's progress, he added, was the
regulatory bodies that encouraged the Cway at the teething stage to meet
the standard operation requirements.
Ojumoola
expressed that the governments' gesture could not be easily forgotten,
especially when he recalled how Nigeria was flooded with imported
finished foods and beverages at that time. “The states opened their
doors to foreign investors in order to create jobs for the teeming
youths and to increase internally-generated revenue for governments.”
Apart
from making profit, Ojumoola noted that the company prides itself in
giving back to the society. He said it has done so over the year through
brand fan clubs in schools, children monthly birthday parties, brand
and financial supports to care givers and orphanage homes as well as
sponsoring end of year children's parties in host communities.
In
order to promote peace among families and different groups in the
society, he said Cway has embarked on ‘Share Nutri-milk, Share Love’
campaign.
Also
commenting on what has kept Nutri-milk in the competitive market in the
last one decade, the company's General Manager, Figo Zheng said it has
consistently maintained the nutritional values, which the product offers
its consumers.
His
Deputy, Moses Wang, said the 10th year anniversary meant a lot to Cway,
therefore, propelling it to earmark series of activities to appreciate
the milestone. “We have spread our tentacles across the country, and we
are carrying our trade partners along in the celebration calendar.”
Of
course, Cway had its market brand product launched with Apple and Peach
fruit drinks and later in 2007 added Nutri-milk then Tigo Milk Drink
and Super Milk Drink followed swiftly for healthy functional nutrients
for good growth and development in children.
So,
with such milestone, the management said that there would be a gala
night on the day of the anniversary as part of the activities lined up
for the 10th anniversary, where consumers would cart away with different
prizes.
Other
activities to warm up the day include: comprehensive video documentary,
novelty football match among staff and staff happy hour.
