NURHI Introduces Life Planning for Youths, Adolescents to Reach Potentials

Determined to equip young people with information and life skills to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health needs, the Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative2 (NURHI) has introduced a life planning programme for adolescents and youths.

Unveiled at a one-day media sensitisation and orientation workshop on Life Planning for Adolescents and Youths (LPAY) organised by Development Communications (Devcoms) in Lagos, the programme targets the sexual and reproductive health and rights issues among ages 15 and 24.

Ogun: Court Grants Boy Bail for Defiling Physically Challenged Girl

An Ifo  Magistrate Court Ogun State has, today, granted bail of N500,000 or two sureties with two landed properties each and be verified two years evidence of Tax clearance to 17 years old Azzez Abasi for brutally defiling physically challenged girl 20 times in four days. 

The perpetrator, of 18 Okaka Street Adiyan, was said to have committed the act between May 16 and 20 this year knowing that she was always home alone.

Unlike Ibeshe, Ilashe and Makoko riverine in Lagos, Irede community is rather clean and almost spotless with white sands on dry ground. It has very beautiful mansions, too like in urban areas.

 It is a journey of 10 minutes drive by wobbling boat on murky water. It accommodates about 3,000 dwellers. And it comprises three communities including: Irede, Ikaree and Iyeghe.

Court Remands Father for Defiling 12 Years Old

An Ikeja Magistrate court on Thursday remanded Amusat Ashiru, 60, for allegedly defiling his 12-year-old daughter in Lagos.

Ashiru, who resides at Orisunbare, Shasha, was paraded at the Police Headquarters on July 3 for allegedly having carnal knowledge of his daughter after she moved in with in April.
